Manama: Feb. 3 – (BNA): The General Organisation for Youth and Sports (GOYS) on Sunday organised a press conference to discuss the details of the Bahrain Ninja.
This event which is under the patronage of the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is the first sports and entertainment program in the Middle East which focuses on mental and physical challenges.
The aim of this program is to bring together a large number of youth competitors in an outdoor event, challenging them to pass eight barriers requiring courage and perseverance.
This event is set to take place between 10 and 23 February in conjunction to Kingdom’s National Action Charter celebrations at the Bahrain National Stadium.
Hisham Mohammed Al Jowder Chairman of the General Organization for Youth and Sports (GOYS), said organising the program “Bahrain Ninja ” comes in line with the strategies of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports , led by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, aiming to train youth to overcome obstacles and to challenge their determination. Organising such an event seeks to introduce young people to adventure and encourage them to reach goals. The General Organization for Youth and Sports (GOYS), ensures organising of such programs , which serves to provide activities which serves to challenge the skills and abilities of the youth and to experience adventure.
Al Jowdar added that “Bahrain Ninja” is one of its kind in the Middle East, which lead Bahrain to be the pioneers in attracting such programs that encourages young Bahrainis to experience mental and physical challenges. The stages of the program “Bahrain Ninja ” varies in difficulty and will require specific skills and intellectual efforts to overcome the stages.
Al Jowder emphasised that the first edition of “Bahrain Ninja ” will succeed because of the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. GOYS aspires to attract the largest possible number of young people to participate in this program and encourage Bahraini youth to participate as individuals and for clubs, associations and companies to form teams to participate in this exciting program.
Eman Janahi, GOYS Director for youth affairs said “This is an interesting event organised by the specialised worldwide entertainment industry company (ATS Filmworks) creating a fun and challenging event which we are expecting to be of an interest to the new generation; we would like also to invite participants from all over GCC to participate in the Bahrain Ninja program to learn how to convert obstacles into points of strength to achieve their goals”.
Mr. Ahmed Janahi, Project Manager added “The eight obstacles designed for the Bahrain Ninja vary in difficulty depending on the stage level. An entertainment village with games and activities will run alongside the competition to attract children and families”.
This event is open for three different categories and they are: companies and institutes, teams and clubs, and individuals. Registration can be done online through the website :
