Health Minister receives BPCS delegation

Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh on Sunday received a delegation from Bahrain Parents Care Society (BPCS) led by the Society’s board chairman Ahmed Mohammed Al Banna, who was accompanied with the Society’s Vice Chairman Isa Ahmed Abul Fateh, Treasurer Hassan Eid Bu Khammas and Secretary-General Fareed Mohammed Al-Mahmeed.

The meeting comes as part of showcasing charity and voluntary work undertaken by the society and its plans, initiatives connected with community services in supporting elderly citizens and boosting their interaction and communication with the society.

The minister praised the society’s important role and objectives in the service of elderly persons as well as the society’s programmes, projects and humanitarian initiatives.

The delegation congratulated the minister on the Royal trust of appointing her as Minister of Health, appreciated her efforts in supporting the society’s goals during her previous term as Minister of Social Development.
On this occasion, the chairman of the society’s board of directors and his accompanying delegation presented a commemorative shield to the minister, and expressed their confidence that she will continue her efforts in supporting the society’s objectives and assisting the services provided by the society to the elderly people in recognition of their past services to the Bahraini society.

The delegation reviewed significant projects accomplished by the society recently, praising the support and assistance provided by Health Ministry officials to the society which reflects the extent of attentiveness to senior citizens, and which affirms the ministry’s constant keenness on provision of all possible means to cater for the needs and requirements of elderly people including specialised health services.

In conclusion of the meeting, the minister expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the board chairman and members, wishing the society perpetual success in carrying out its noble goals, plans and programmes in favour of the elderly.
