Manama, Oct.11 (BNA): Information, Parliament Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi hailed the speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa at the opening of the 2nd session of the 4th legislative term.

He hailed the royal keynote address as a national roadmap to push the political reform forward and continue economic and social march so as to enhance the living standards for citizens, Bahrain’s real asset.

He took pride in national spirit marking the royal speech which advocated consensus between the executive and legislative branches of government to cement the culture of democracy in compliance with the constitution and the National Action Charter.
“This national spirit has turned Bahrain into a role model for respecting human rights, tolerance, moderation and peaceful co-existence between religions, doctrines, cultures and civilizations”, he said.

Al-Hammadi described the royal address as a catalyst for the Government to pursue its achievements and development projects for citizens, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

He hailed the royal initiative declaring December 17 as the National Martyrs of Duty Day in tribute to their sacrifices in defending Bahrain’s security and stability as well as their historic and heroic role in confirming the legitimate government in Yemen and participating actively, alongside the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, in the Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restore Hope.

The minister stressed the importance of the keynote royal speech in setting the priorities of national work in the internal and external arenas to maintain the democratic and reform march, consolidate citizens’ rights, protect civil security and peace, bolster joint GCC march and advocate just Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian issue.
