Manama,. (BNA) – On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended here today a ceremony to distribute the contracts to 210 beneficiaries of the Zallaq Housing Project, organised by the Ministry of Housing.
A number of ministers, MPs and senior state officials were also present.
After some Holy Quran verses were recited, the Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoob Al-Hamar delivered a statement in which he extended sincere thanks and gratitude to HM the King for patronising the ceremony, noting that the constant care of the leadership in the housing issue over the past years has yielded outstanding results and boosted the housing sector across the kingdom’s governorates.
He expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad for attending the ceremony on behalf of HM King Hamad, praising his constant participation in the Housing Ministry’s events.
He highlighted the Housing Ministry’s keenness to launch projects across the country and do its utmost to meet the citizens’ housing needs, in line with the directives of the leadership and the government, adding that His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s sound directives have brought about a housing boom in the kingdom.
He said the Housing Ministry will speed up the handover of contracts to the beneficiaries of the housing projects once they are completed.
He stressed that the Zallaq Housing Project, like others in the country, had been designed to meet the expectations of the Bahraini family concerning basic services and infrastructure, praising the cooperation of all ministries and relevant sides in implementing it.
He pledged the Housing Ministry’s keenness to harness all its potentials and staff to implement more housing projects in the kingdom’s five governorates, in line with HM the King’s directives to build 40,000 housing units in the shortest possible period.
Then, Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented the beneficiaries with the contracts of their units.
He commended the efforts of the Housing Minister and all the Housing Ministry’s staff in implementing the directives of HM the King and the government, led by HRH Premier, to provide decent housing for the citizens, using cutting-edge technology.
Next, the Housing Minister offered Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad a commemorative gift.
After that, presentations on the laws governing the relationship between the Housing Ministry and the beneficiaries were screened.
