Ministry of Works receives 1120 requests in first half 2014

Manama,  – (BNA): Assistant Undersecretary for Roads also Chairperson of Coordination and Follow-up Committee, engineer Huda Abdullah Fakhro said that the Ministry of Works (MoW) received 1120 requests from municipal councils in the five governorates in the first half of the current year (2014) related to road and sanitary engineering affairs compared with 1477 requests

Manama,  – (BNA): Assistant Undersecretary for Roads also Chairperson of Coordination and Follow-up Committee, engineer Huda Abdullah Fakhro said that the Ministry of Works (MoW) received 1120 requests from municipal councils in the five governorates in the first half of the current year (2014) related to road and sanitary engineering affairs compared with 1477 requests for the same period last year that is a difference of 357 requests.

Engineer Huda Fakhro added that in the period Jan-June 2014, 32 field visits were made compared with 21 visits for the same period last year (2013).

She noted the buzzing activities of the municipalities and Ministry of Works aimed to find suitable solutions and effective response following field visits pertaining to studying requests for road humps used to slow down traffic.
She said that the MoW is a key partner of municipal councils, praising the huge efforts of municipal councils in conveying complaints and requests related to infrastructure in addition to finding suitable solutions to problems facing the roads and sanitary engineering sectors, pointing out that the Ministry of Works would not spare any effort in order to ensure the success of the excellent experience of municipalities and to promote it to vaster and better horizons.
