Manama, (BNA)The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has today convened for its seventh meeting. SJC President and Head of the Court of Cassation Salem bin Mohammed AL-Kawari presided over the session which discussed plans to set up offices to exit points to enforce the court travel bans.

The panel gave its initial approval of the project pending coordination with relevant authorities of the ministries of Interior and Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments. The session approved on the draft resolution on the distribution of judicial work for 2014-2015 and discussed a proposal to set up a court in Muharraq to enforce civil rulings. The council will coordinate with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments to allocate the appropriate premises. 

The council also spotlighted a proposal to establish a court specialised in remanding suspects in custody in coordination with ministries of Interior and Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the Directorate of Prisons
