Preparations for Mara’ee 2014 discussed

Manama, Jan. 29 (BNA)– Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa received Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Dr. Juma’a bin Ahmed Al Ka’abi and discussed with him preparations for Bahrain Animal Production Show (Mara’ee) 2014 which will be organised under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa next March.

He listened to a detailed account by the minister on the exhibition and procedures taken by the ministry to ensure its success. He stressed the importance of the event which reflects HM the King’s keenness on protecting livestock given its key role in boosting food security in Bahrain. He described the show as a major opportunity to exchange experiences and bolster efforts in further promoting animal wealth in Bahrain.

He thanked the Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry for its efforts to organise the third edition of the exhibition, stressing success of the previous ones in attracting a big number of companies from Bahrain and abroad.

On his part, the Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister asserted keenness to carry out the royal directives to boost agricultural and animal production through the national initiative which aims to ensure food security as well as bolster agricultural and animal production.

He also hailed the big role played by Shaikh Nasser and his continuous follow-up to ensure success of the show, describing his support as an incentive for the Supreme Organising Committee to exert more efforts to achieve forecast goals.
